Improve Your Italian: My Favorite Italian School in Italy

Want to learn Italian in Italy? Want to get free extras because you’re my friend? Want a true immersion experience? Well then, have the perfect school for you!

Before we talk about that, did you know I used to run Italian language retreats in Tuscany? I planned, from beginning to end, one week in Florence where language learners had access to the best learning methods, conversation hours, cultural events and more. My experience working for years in Florence in the tourism and language industries helped me fine tune these retreats to be the best possible experience I could imagine.

After multiple sold out experiences, my duties at home with my daughter and husband have called me away from running retreats, however, even though it’s been almost 2 years since the last one, I have not stopped looking for something similar to recommend to language learners.

It took a long time, but finally, I found it! A language program that lives up to my high standards! This school has it all, classes / tours organized by age group, multiple accommodation options (shared and single, hotel or apartments!), actual AUTHENTIC events with locals (are you ready to cook with Andrea’s adorable Nonna?) and language learning that takes you away from just studying pages but makes Italian accessible and practical.

I am so excited to partner with the Trulli Language School in beautiful Puglia, that I even organized a surprise for you. If you enroll and tell them you were sent by me, you will be treated to a special conversation hour lunch, just for The Italianista’s friends, where you can practice conversation in a small group, while dining on local specialties. This is only for people who mention my name when signing up, so don’t forget to tell them I sent you!

You can read all about this amazing school (and the wonderful teachers) here.

Still not convinced? Check out these gorgeous photos below or download their brochure!

When I was lucky to discover and visit cousins living in Puglia 2 years ago, we spent a day in Alberobello. This immersion program might be in my future! Chi sa!

    Congratulations on a wonderful website!

Sandie, We both have that Pugliese blood! It speaks to my soul, I am sure you can relate. And thank you!

Ciao, I'm Rachel

I am obsessed with everything Italian! After years living in Italy, being married to an Italian, getting my Italian citezenship through my Pugliese lineage, a BA in Italian language and literature, then a MA in Italian Art History, I have lots of experience with this country! Hang out with me to learn more!
